About
The Full Story
I come to my creative work through the land first. With over thirty years of hands-on gardening experience, working closely with soil, plants, and seasonal rhythms has shaped the way I see materials, time, and making. This long relationship with the natural world is the foundation from which my art and workshops have grown. Alongside this, I come from an artistic family background, where making, craft, and creative thinking were always part of daily life. Over time, these two threads — nature-based knowledge and artistic practice — have naturally woven together in my work. I create and teach using natural forms such as gourds, combining functional craft, symbolic objects, and slow, intentional processes. Through my workshops, I invite others into this way of working: hands-on, grounded, and attentive to material, season, and imagination. Whether creating a simple object or a more symbolic piece, the focus is on meaningful making and the quiet connection between nature, creativity, and everyday life.
